A man's admitted shoplifting after stuffing screws and a drill bit down his pants at hardware store

A man's admitted shoplifting after stuffing screws and a drill bit down his pants at hardware store

His plan came undone when a staff member at the Mitre 10 MEGA in Whanganui challenged him.

Angus Mars, has since pleaded guilty to shoplifting in the Whanganui District Court.

He told police he needed the screws and drill bit, but had no money.

Mars was convicted and will need to keep his nose clean - he was ordered him to come up to court for sentence if called upon, for 12 months.
