Wellington Phoenix coach Mark Rudan wants to bring pride back to football in this country

Wellington Phoenix coach Mark Rudan wants to bring pride back to football in this country

After a year of turmoil in the sport in New Zealand, the A-League club are garnering positive attention following their record eighth straight undefeated match.

Rudan says he knows of the fractured relationships the public has had with the game, but he wants to help with the recovery.

He says the most important thing for the club is they have the opportunity to change the face of the game, particularly around pride.

The 'Nix are away to the top of the table Melbourne Victory next Sunday.
