Black Caps coach Gary Stead says Adam Milne is close to adding his name to the ballot, after playing a core role in the last campaign four years ago.
Stead says Milne's back bowling at near 100 per cent and he's expected to be playing for Central Districts in the next week or so.
At least four pace bowlers are expected to head to England with Trent Boult, Tim Southee, Lockie Ferguson and Matt Henry already tested this summer.
