Trial closures on Wellington's Paekakariki Hill Road could be made permanent
18 January 2019
NZTA has been closing the road on some Friday evenings over November and December, hoping to improve safety and journey times.
It's being closed again today between 2pm and 7pm ahead of Wellington Anniversary weekend.
NZTA spokesman Mark Owen says after the final trial they'll analyse the information and decide whether the closures could be made permanent.
He says it's definitely a possibility.
