Regan Gough , Nic Kergozou , Campbell Stewart and Jordan Kerby have set a New Zealand record and the second fastest time ever, after clocking a time of three-minutes-fifty-point-one-five-nine seconds to beat Canada for gold.
Coach Matt Shallcrass says in the best possible way, it's now back to the drawing board ahead of the 2020 Olympics.
Day two is underway, with the women's sprint, women's omnium and men's keirin the events in the morning session.
