Devine returned from Australia's Big Bash League to help Wellington take out their second straight domestic title, beating Canterbury by four wickets in Auckland.
The Blaze scampering for a single off the final ball as Magicians captain Frankie Mackay attempted to throw down the stumps in her follow-through.
Devine was impressed with the public support.
Auckland beat Otago by four runs in the earlier men's game after posting 184 for five.
