Silver Ferns captain Laura Langman believes there are some promising signs from her side after a mixed Quad Series

The Ferns were blown out by England, pushed Australia to the end and then claimed a double extra time win over South Africa this morning.

Langman acknowledges there's some game smarts they're missing ahead of the World Cup mid-year.

She says they've shown they can go toe-to-toe but they need to find that spark earlier.

The Silver Ferns now head back to prepare for the ANZ Premiership.
