33-year-old Christchurch man, Dane Montgomery, has been sentenced to eight-months driving disqualification with an almost 12-hundred dollar fine.
This comes after he reached speeds of 220-kilometres an hour on Banks Peninsula in August, posting a video of himself speeding and overtaking on double yellow lines on YouTube - back in August.
Inspector Ashley Tabb says police are pleased with the sentence outcome.
She says they hope Montgomery realises the consequences of his actions - could've been much worse.
