Residents fighting to stop a quarry being built on the outskirts of Christchurch, are urging others to write letters to government ministers reviewing the Resource Management Act

Fulton Hogan is planning a 170 hectare quarry in Dawsons Road.
Templeton resident Davina Penny says their fight to stop the quarry, and water bottling issues has opened their eyes to problems with the Act.
She says probably the first one is the notification issue where resource consents are being signed off on a non-notification basis.
Davina Penny says other issues include monitoring and investigating breaches.
