Whanganui's mayor is offering assurance to a community unsettled by a deadly stabbing

One person is dead and five others injured after the frenzy, which broke out in a supermarket carpark yesterday.
Police have taken one person into custody and say they're not looking for anyone else.
Mayor Hamish McDouall says it's a tragedy - but it's an isolated event and someone has been arrested swiftly, so the community needn't fear for their safety.
