One of New Zealand's most high-profile prisoners has been granted parole

One of New Zealand's most high-profile prisoners has been granted parole

Arthur William Taylor has been denied parole 19 times already - and had a release date of October 2022.

He has been granted parole this afternoon and will be released next month.

Taylor was serving 17 and a half years for explosives, firearms and kidnapping charges - and for conspiracy to supply methamphetamine, among other crimes.

In recent years he has become known as a "jailhouse lawyer", after a series of successful court cases.
