    A teenage cyclist critically injured in a crash on Railway Road in Hastings yesterday has died


    The crash occurred about five last night and the 13-year-old boy died at Hawke's Bay Hospital this morning.

    Hastings Boys' High School principal Rob Sturch says the Year 9 boy was supposed to join his older brother at school today.

    He says the crash happened after the boy had picked up his uniform.

    Inquiries are ongoing into the circumstances of the crash.
