    Unsafe waterways aren't good enough

    Unsafe waterways aren't good enough

Land and Water Aotearoa says since November, 175 rivers, lakes and streams have been issued notices of unsafe levels of E. coli and toxic algae.

Fish and Game CEO Martin Taylor says Horizons Regional Council has the dubious distinction of having the highest number of off-limit waterways, at 31.

He says they have been fighting for 10 years but nothing has been done.
