    The 49erFX crew of Alex Maloney and Molly Meech have let a gold medal slip at the sailing World Cup regatta in Miami


    Five points clear heading into the double-points medal race, they've made an incorrect decision over which side of the course was most advantageous.

    They've finished ninth in the race and two points off the overall Brazilian winners to claim a silver medal.

    Sam Meech just needs to complete the course in the Laser medal race to claim silver.

    He's 20 points clear of third but 65 points off the leader from Norway.
