The 34-year-old American crashed in the Super G but pootled down the course and says her knees, which cause her pain after multiple surgery, were unaffected.
She will retire after winning the 2010 Olympic downhill gold medal and a women's record 82 World Cup races across all disciplines.
Vonn says she'd like to be remembered as a leader who showed the next generation nothing was impossible in the sport.
