The 17-year old went under the junior men's 3000 metre individual pursuit record in qualifying, but couldn't be considered for an official record without full doping control process and UCI officials in place.
However, Fisher-Black backed up with a superb effort in the final, clocking three-minutes-nine-point-seven-ten-seconds to set an official world record, more than a second faster than the old mark.
