IHC New Zealand says the disability and support sector faces a 150-million dollar funding shortfall

IHC New Zealand says the disability and support sector faces a 150-million dollar funding shortfall

The organisation has released its second annual report.

Director of advocacy Trish Grant says people with intellectual disabilities die around 25 years earlier than non-disabled people.

She calls it "death by indifference" ... because many disabled die from treatable conditions.
