Experts in the case of a Wellington woman's death gave their opinions as soon as they could

Experts in the case of a Wellington woman's death gave their opinions as soon as they could

This from police after a murder charge was thrown out against Zena Campbell's boyfriend, the day he was due to stand trial.

The decision was made at the High Court in Wellington yesterday, in light of new evidence.

Paddy Woods and his lawyer are looking into whether he's eligible for compensation.

Detective sergeant Ben Quinn says once the trial date's been set, that's what they have to work towards.

He says one of the experts was from overseas and putting their opinions together took some time, which unfortunately led right up to the trial date.
