Extra water restrictions are being introduced in the super dry upper South Island

Water permit holders in the Motupiko area and Waimea Plains have been ordered to cut their use by 65-percent from Monday.
Businesses on the Tasman water network will have to cut their usage by 25-percent.
New water restrictions are being rolled out on the Tasman network, and a sprinkler ban is being introduced on the Nelson network.
The water restrictions don't apply to firefighters battling Tasman's Pigeon Valley blaze.
