The coroner has released their findings today on the death of 70-year-old Leonard Robert Wesney - who died when his Linwood home caught fire in 2017.
Coroner David Robinson says the cause of death was fume inhalation.
He says Wesney was found with an excessive quantity of antidepressant Venlafaxine in his bloodstream - which can act as a sedative.
Robinson says this may have left the man less able to react to the smoke alarm or the fire.
