Kiwi skiier Nico Porteous has taken the lead on the World Cup Tour, after finishing at the freeski halfpipe world cup in Calgary

Kiwi skiier Nico Porteous has taken the lead on the World Cup Tour, after finishing at the freeski halfpipe world cup in Calgary

The Olympic medalist nailed a double 1440 safety grab, enough for silver with American David Wise winning gold.

Porteous entered the day 10 points off leader Simon D'Artois on the tour, but has leapfrogged the Canadian after he finished seventh.
