A drug harm reduction organisation is hopeful more universities will follow the lead of Otago's student association

A drug harm reduction organisation is hopeful more universities will follow the lead of Otago's student association

Students celebrating O-Week in Dunedin - which starts today - will be able to get their drugs tested for safety - before taking them.

The university doesn't approve of the practice.

Know Your Stuff NZ managing director, Wendy Allison says Otago is the first to offer testing, and believes it won't be the last.

She says people who are given better information make better decisions about drugs.
