Belin also has an aggravated sexual assault allegation hanging over him.
He's pleaded not guilty.
The timing of de Belin's sickness means the Dragons effectively won't have to make a call on his immediate playing future.
Their next trial game is the Charity Shield against South Sydney on March 2 - two days after the Australian Rugby League Commission meets on February 28 to decide de Belin's fate.
