An Auckland secondary school denies its male teachers are distracted by female students' clothing

Eight hundred people signed a petition on Change.org against Rangitoto College's Year 13 stricter dress code, calling it sexist.
There was a claim teachers told students they can't wear tights because it arouses male teachers, but the petition was taken down after a deputy principal complained.
Rangitoto College Principal Patrick Gale says the school completely refutes the suggestion male teachers are distracted by mufti.
He says the school admires its students' social conscience, but tries to create an environment that enables delivery of its high educational expectations.
