A survey's suggesting most New Zealanders want local councils to have more control

The Local Government New Zealand survey's found 54 percent of people believe locally controlled services would be more responsive to local needs.
Local Government NZ president and Dunedin mayor Dave Cull says decision-making has become over-centralised and prevents communities from getting the outcomes they want.
Delegates from around the country will be discussing Local Government at a conference in Wellington today.
