The Greens say Maori support legalising cannabis, because they've been bearing the sharp brunt of the war on drugs

The Greens say Maori support legalising cannabis, because they've been bearing the sharp brunt of the war on drugs

A Horizon Research poll shows 75 percent of Maori support full legalisation of the drug.

Co-leader Marama Davidson says Maori are much more likely to get a cannabis conviction than anyone else.

She says that's why there's a strong appetite among Maori to change to a harm reduction approach to drug use in New Zealand.
