Additional security measures are in place at Christchurch airport

It's allowed Air New Zealand to resume regional flights out of the city.

They were cancelled last night in the wake of the shootings.

Passenger and baggage screening systems are now in place for all regional flights.

Air New Zealand is also allowing customers booked to travel to and from Christchurch to change or rebook their flights.
