    A controlled explosion has taken place at Auckland's Britomart station

    A controlled explosion has taken place at Auckland's Britomart station

    A section of Galway Street was cordoned off after two unattended backpacks were discovered.

    Police sent in a bomb disposal robot, though it is not known if the backpacks were off threat to anyone.

    Trains are continuing to run and the station has not been shut off to the public.
