The bodies of the fifty people killed in Friday's mosque attacks may start being released today.
Organiser Scott Esdaile says they were approached by the Council to move the event from Thursday night.
He says it's been moved out of respect for families who will be burying their loved ones.
Esdaile says the vigil will now be held on Sunday at 5pm in North Hagley Park.
