24 March 2019
A Maritime New Zealand spokesperson says they've located the twin-propeller aircraft, which took off from Palmerston North and was due to arrive at Ardmore Airport in Auckland.
The spokesperson could not confirm the state of the plane, or its two occupants.
Due to poor weather last night and earlier today which prevented helicopter activity, they were unable to land in the area until late this morning.
The overdue aircraft was located around 11:30.
The Civil Aviation Authority has been notified and is investigating.
