Investigators are this morning due at the scene of a plane crash in the Kaimanawa Ranges in which two people lost their lives

The plane disappeared on Saturday night, after leaving Palmerston North en route to Ardmore Airport in Auckland.
The wreckage of the Diamond DA42 Twin Star aeroplane was found at 11.30 yesterday morning, in steep terrain.
Two qualified flight instructors were on board.
Their bodies were recovered yesterday afternoon.
The Transport Accident Investigation Commission has appointed a team of three investigators, who are expected to arrive at the site this morning.
