Hastings District Council says the public needs to heed warning signs and stay off Clifton Beach or risk injury or death.
About three thousand cubic metres of material fell from the cliff above the beach last weekend.
The council says it's temporarily blocked the beach - and there has been a further rock fall since.
Hastings District Council syas it says getting surveys done to assess the risk.
It's still hoping to reopen the beach on April 29 with interim health and safety measures in place.
