    Men's shot put world champion Tom Walsh has romped to victory at the Australian Athletics Championships in Sydney


    The Kiwi has managed a best throw of 21.91 metres, more than two metres clear of second.

    That's gone to Aussie Damien Birkenhead who mustered 19.79 metres.

    Fellow Kiwi Ryan Ballantyne's missed out on a podium by just one centimetre, with a best effort of 18.38m.
