Could a dose of their mum's bacteria give c-section babies a better start in life?

Researchers at Auckland University's Liggins Institute are going to formally test the widely-held theory, in what may be a world-first study.
At the moment babies born via caesarean have a greater risk of developing obesity, asthma, eczema and other allergic disorders.
Midwife and researcher Celia Grigg says babies who have natural births are obviously exposed to their mother's bacteria - a process they'll mimic.
She says they want to see if they can improve the babies' gut bacteria.
