The Clutha District Council has awarded the four million dollar annual contract to City Care Water.
The company will manage the district's water supply, stormwater, wastewater and support for aquatics in Balclutha and Milton.
Clutha District Council Operations Manager Gareth Phillips says the Christchurch-based contractor offers superior service in customer care, improved administration and integration with Council's electronic systems.
City Care will begin it's five year contract on the first of July.
