Major moves in transport construction in Auckland
Major moves in transport construction in Auckland
12 April 2019
Auckland Transport has begun the first stage of the 1.4-billion-dollar Eastern Busway project.
It should see bus commutes into the city slashed by up to a third from Howick and Botany.
And NZTA has approved the business case for walking and cycling project - SeaPath - on the North Shore.
It has confirmed the planned route - on the landward side of the northern motorway, between Northcote Point and Esmonde Road.
The project will now move into the next stage, before construction funding is expected to be confirmed in 2021.
SeaPath will connect with a planned shared path across the Auckland Harbour Bridge.
