The world number 14 doubles player rolled his ankle in his first round match at the ATP tournament in Marrakech last week.
He returned to his London base and had an MRI scan, which has revealed he tore a foot ligament.
The 2017 French Open doubles champion is in a moon boot.
Venus withdrew from this week's Monte Carlo Masters.
