Private girls schools are at the top of the class

That's according to a new league table of New Zealand high schools produced by the tutoring company Crimson Education.

Auckland's St Cuthbert's College has topped the list... with four others listed in the top 10 ... also private girls' schools.

But Crimson founder Jamie Beaton expects to see the list shift as school cultures evolve.

He says the rankings will move as schools focus on innovating and thriving and being the best versions of the institutions they can be.
