A three-day-old baby boy who was missing in Auckland has been found safe and well

A three-day-old baby boy who was missing in Auckland has been found safe and well

He required urgent medical assistance and there were serious concerns for his well-being.

Police had been looking for him and his mother, Dorothy Opetaia, after he was removed from Middlemore Hospital.

Counties Manukau Police Senior Sergeant Dave Readings says the baby boy was found at a Royal Oak house and his mum was found at another house.

He says an ambulance has taken him to hospital.
