Four years in prison for a serial Taylor Swift stalker
Four years in prison for a serial Taylor Swift stalker
16 April 2019
Roger Alvarado, 23, has been sent to jail - and ordered by Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Laura Ward to stay away from Swift and refrain from any contact with her.
Alvarado pleaded guilty on April 1 to criminal contempt and attempted burglary - and in exchange he was promised two-to-four years behind bars.
On March 7, he was caught trying to smash through a glass door at the Grammy-winner's New York home.
That arrest was the latest in a string of 2018 break-in efforts.
Last April, he got inside when Swift wasn't home - and took a shower and had a nap in her bed before police caught him.
Before that, he was caught trying to smash through a door with a shovel.
