Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has announced there'll be no capital gains tax while she's in leadership.
That's despite her party campaigning for a CGT tax in some form or other, for nearly a decade.
CTU President Richard Wagstaff says it's a missed opportunity, and is disappointed plans haven't been seen through.
He says the challenges we face aren't going to go away and unfortunately one good option to make our tax system fairer, has been taken off the table.
