Travel was always going to be difficult for Tasmania's Southern Huskies in basketball's NBL

But the first Australian entry into the New Zealand national league couldn't have envisaged it would be this bad.

While half the squad arrived in Palmerston North last night head of tonight's match against the Manawatu Jets, the other half and coach Anthony Stewart only touched down this morning after flight cancellations, enduring a more than 24 hour journey via Melbourne.

He says the circumstances were out of their control so it is what is is and they will just make sure they are ready to go tonight and throw everything out on the floor.
