The Chiefs have weighed in on the possibility Aaron Cruden will return to the Super Rugby franchise

The Chiefs have weighed in on the possibility Aaron Cruden will return to the Super Rugby franchise

Our newsroom understands the former All Blacks first five is considering returning from France for the back-end of the Super Rugby season and next year with the Chiefs.

That would see him become eligible for a black jersey at this year's World Cup.

CEO Michael Collins says it's unrealistic Cruden will play for them in 2019, and as much as he wants Cruden to, it's hard with contracts.

Cruden joined Montpellier in 2017 though has fallen out of favour, and is also weighing up joining ex-Chiefs coach Dave Rennie at Glasgow.
