20 April 2019
Emergency services scrambled to reach the remote location near Te Paki, 20 kilometres south of Cape Reinga, after a person called saying they'd seen "people being swept off some rocks" about 5.45pm.
Around 7, the Rescue Coordination Centre told police one woman was washed off rocks.
But she'd apparently been rescued and Police say there was no one else in the water.
