The Maori Development Minister will speak with the United Nations in New York this week

Nanaia Mahuta is set to argue the case for Indigenous Peoples' rights around the world.

She says she'll focus on showing New Zealand's significant progress - but also how much more work there is still to do.

The Minister will be speaking several times at the Permanent Forum of the UN from today.

She will also attend a World Indigenous Business Forum roundtable discussion.
