Central Otago police are warning people to be on the look-out for stolen watches
23 April 2019
Fifteen thousand dollars' worth of watches were taken from Jamie's Jewellers in Frankton, in Queenstown, early on Sunday morning.
Police believe the man responsible fled from police in a stolen car and had robbed another shop earlier in the night.
Detective Sergeant Derek Shaw believes up to 20 watches will be offered to people in the Southland area.
He says people should decline them and contact police.
