Auckland Transport's being accused of not keeping pedestrian safety at heart

Councillor Mike Lee has filed a complaint to the Ombudsman after AT failed to provide information to justify lowering the city's speed limits on three occasions.
Lee says their evasiveness is because the facts don't support AT's agenda.
He says using pedestrian safety to argue their plans contradicts their decision to allow e-scooters on the footpath.
He says if they allow e-scooters on the footpaths - that goes to show their safety isn't prioritised at all.
