Auckland's Mayor is stressing the changes earmarked for Queens Wharf won't be there forever

Independent commissioners have granted resource consent to allow for larger cruise ships to berth there, by installing concrete mooring dolphins.
Auckland Mayor Phil Goff says while he understands there is opposition to the changes, it'll be a good thing for the city overall.
He says it's not a permanent incursion into the harbour - it's something that'll be built, then removed within 15 years.
Objectors can appeal to the Environment Court, up until May 15.
