Callan Elliot thinks re-signing with the Wellington Phoenix is a no brainer

Callan Elliot thinks re-signing with the Wellington Phoenix is a no brainer

The 19-year-old defender will be with the club until the end of the 2019/20 season.

Elliot made his A-League debut for the Phoenix earlier this season, contributing to wins over Central Coast and Newcastle.

Elliot says he's enjoying his time in the Capital.

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is praising his side's resilience following their English Premier League victory over Brighton.

Christian Eriksen scored in the 88th minute to secure a crucial three competition points.

Spurs now have a three-point buffer over fourth-placed Chelsea, in the race for a Champions League place with three games remaining.

A European PGA Tour lifeline for Kiwi golfer Josh Geary this week in Morocco.

Geary narrowly failed to retain his Tour card last year through Q school and has been plying his trade on the Australasian Tour and local Charles Tour in recent months.

However he's been fortunate to get a start at this week's European Tour event in Morocco.

He says he applied for a sponsors invitation a couple of weeks ago and it was a bit of a surprise but he got one.
