It's been a great week for young kiwi footballer Callan Elliot

The 19-year-old has been selected in the New Zealand side to play at the Under-20 World Cup in Poland and has just extended his contract with the Wellington Phoenix for another season.

Elliot says he's been smiling all week.

He says it was a big goal of his to make the World Cup squad, so it's a very proud moment for him and his family.
